Having a problem with your rental?
If the equipment appears unsafe, stop using it immediately and keep guests away from it. Do not move, repair, modify, or re-anchor rental equipment yourself.
Call first. If we do not answer after 9:00 p.m., leave a message and we will respond the following morning.
Call Deep South Event RentalsWhat’s going on?
No guessing. Pick the closest match and follow the steps for that problem.
The five-second safety scan
Before each round of fun, look, listen, and supervise.
Adult watching
Active supervision means watching the inflatable and the participants—not merely being nearby.
Airflow sounds normal
The inflatable should remain properly inflated and the blower should operate normally.
Weather feels stable
Stop use during lightning, severe weather, or winds of 15 mph or more.
Anchors untouched
Never move or adjust stakes, anchors, straps, or tie-downs installed by our crew.
Rules still followed
Keep rider limits, supervision, and safe-play rules enforced throughout the rental.
Call when unsure
Stopping to ask is always better than continuing when something does not feel right.
Inflatable Losing Air
Have everyone exit before checking any obvious connection or power issue.
What should I do if the inflatable suddenly deflates?
First, make sure everyone exits the inflatable immediately.
Check that the blower is still running. If the blower has stopped, verify that it is plugged in and that the power cord has not been disconnected.
Check the blower tube on the back of the inflatable to make sure it has not come loose from the blower.
If the blower has no power, check the outlet or GFCI to see if it has tripped. Reset it once if necessary.
If the inflatable does not begin inflating normally after these checks, do not allow anyone back inside. Contact Deep South Event Rentals for assistance.
What should I do if the inflatable looks like it is losing air but the blower is still running?
Have everyone exit while you inspect the obvious connections.
Check that:
- The blower tube is securely attached.
- Any inflation or deflation tubes are properly closed.
- The blower's air intake is unobstructed.
- The blower is operating normally.
Some air escaping through seams is normal for commercial inflatables.
However, if the inflatable is noticeably softer than normal, leaning, collapsing, or unable to remain fully inflated, discontinue use and contact Deep South Event Rentals.
Is it normal to feel air coming out of the seams?
Yes. Commercial inflatables are not airtight.
The blower continuously supplies air while some air escapes through seams and other areas. A small amount of air escaping from seams is normal.
The inflatable should still remain fully inflated and structurally stable during operation.
What should I do if the inflatable is leaning or doesn't look right?
Stop use immediately and have everyone exit.
An inflatable that is leaning, shifting, inadequately inflated, or otherwise appears unstable should not be used.
Do not attempt to reposition or re-anchor it yourself. Contact Deep South Event Rentals.
Blower & Power Problems
Keep guests out of the inflatable while you check its power source.
What should I do if the blower stops working?
Remove everyone from the inflatable.
Then check:
- Make sure the blower is plugged in.
- Check that the extension cord has not become unplugged.
- Check the GFCI/outlet for a tripped reset button.
- Make sure the blower switch is in the ON position.
- Check that nothing is blocking the blower's air intake.
Do not open, disassemble, or attempt to repair the blower.
If it still will not operate, contact Deep South Event Rentals.
What should I do if the breaker or GFCI keeps tripping?
Stop using the inflatable and remove everyone from it.
Do not repeatedly reset a breaker or GFCI that continues to trip. This can indicate an electrical problem, overloaded circuit, damaged connection, or moisture-related issue.
Disconnect the equipment and contact Deep South Event Rentals for instructions.
Can I turn the blower off overnight?
You may leave the blower running overnight or turn it off. If you turn the blower off, the water hose must be turned off first.
Weather & Wind
Unsafe weather always takes priority over continued use.
What should I do if it starts raining?
Light rain does not necessarily require immediate deflation, but everyone should exit the inflatable if conditions become unsafe.
Never use an inflatable during lightning, thunderstorms, severe weather, or high winds.
If severe weather approaches, stop using the inflatable and contact Deep South Event Rentals if you need assistance securing or shutting down the equipment.
What should I do if the wind starts getting strong?
Stop using the inflatable and have everyone exit.
Inflatables must not be set up or operated in winds of 15 mph or more.
Never remove stakes, loosen straps, relocate the inflatable, or attempt to compensate for increasing wind by adding your own anchoring.
If wind conditions are becoming unsafe, discontinue use and contact Deep South Event Rentals.
Anchoring & Setup
Do not move or change equipment installed by the delivery team.
Can I move the inflatable after Deep South Event Rentals sets it up?
No. Do not move or reposition an inflatable after it has been installed.
The placement and anchoring are part of the safe setup of the equipment. Moving the inflatable can change its anchoring, clearance, electrical setup, or operating conditions.
Contact Deep South Event Rentals if there is a problem with its location.
Can I remove or move one of the stakes?
No.
Do not remove, loosen, relocate, or adjust the stakes or other anchoring equipment installed by Deep South Event Rentals.
If a stake or anchor appears loose or damaged, stop using the inflatable and contact us.
What should I do if a stake comes out of the ground?
Stop using the inflatable immediately and have everyone exit.
Do not continue operating an inflatable with a missing or unsecured anchor point.
Do not attempt to re-anchor the inflatable yourself. Contact Deep South Event Rentals so the situation can be addressed properly.
Water Slide Problems
Pause riders before checking water connections from ground level.
What should I do if the water isn't spraying on the waterslide?
First, stop riders while checking the water supply.
Make sure:
- The water hose is turned on.
- The garden hose has not become kinked.
- The hose connection has not come loose.
- The spray hose attached to the inflatable has not been pinched or moved.
Do not climb onto the inflatable to adjust a spray line.
If you cannot correct the problem safely from ground level, contact Deep South Event Rentals.
What should I do if water starts pooling around the inflatable?
Stop use if standing water is creating an electrical, slipping, anchoring, or other safety concern.
Do not allow electrical connections, blowers, plugs, or extension-cord connections to sit in standing water.
Contact Deep South Event Rentals if you are unsure whether continued operation is safe.
Damage, Spills & Cleaning
Avoid household chemicals and do not attempt repairs yourself.
What should I do if the inflatable gets dirty during my rental?
Normal dirt from ordinary use is expected.
Do not use household chemicals, bleach, pressure washers, or other cleaning products on the inflatable unless instructed by Deep South Event Rentals.
If something significant is spilled on the unit, contact us and tell us what was spilled so we can tell you how to handle it.
What if someone spills food or a drink inside the inflatable?
Stop use in the affected area and remove as much of the spill as reasonably possible without using harsh chemicals.
Do not use bleach or other cleaning products unless instructed by Deep South Event Rentals.
Contact us if the spill is significant, sticky, oily, staining, or otherwise difficult to remove.
What should I do if the inflatable gets a tear or becomes damaged?
Stop using the inflatable and have everyone exit.
Do not attempt to patch, tape, sew, or otherwise repair the inflatable yourself.
Contact Deep South Event Rentals immediately and explain what happened.
What should I do if something gets stuck in the inflatable?
Stop using the unit.
Do not cut, disassemble, or damage the inflatable to retrieve an object.
If the object cannot be safely removed without altering or damaging the equipment, contact Deep South Event Rentals.
Injuries & Emergencies
Attend to people first and stop equipment use when safety is in question.
What should I do if someone gets hurt?
Stop use as necessary and attend to the injured person first.
For a serious or potentially serious injury, call 911 or seek appropriate emergency medical assistance.
Once the immediate medical situation has been addressed, contact Deep South Event Rentals and let us know what occurred.
Do not continue using equipment if you believe its condition contributed to the incident.
What should I do if there's a problem after normal business hours?
Stop using the equipment if there is any safety concern.
For equipment or rental issues, use the emergency or after-hours contact instructions provided with your rental.
For a medical, fire, electrical, or other emergency requiring immediate assistance, call 911.
Deep South Event Rentals is available 24 hours a day. However, calls or messages received after 9:00 p.m. may not be answered until the following morning.
